CODE OF CONDUCT
Scope
Hedgehog Brewing (HB) Code of Conduct applies to our staff, guests, and to the best of our ability our suppliers and retail partners. It will cover harassment, prejudice and interactions between all peoples involved in the brewery and taproom.
Values
We believe in the equality and sanctity of all humans regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and require the same respect from our staff and patrons.
Behavior
We expect all staff and patrons to treat each other with respect and without prejudice. Any harassment, prejudice or stereotyping will not be tolerated or endured from staff, patrons, vendors or retail partners.
Unacceptable Behavior

Harassment including:

° Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion.

° Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.

° Deliberate misgendering or use of ‘dead’ or rejected names.

° Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in spaces where they’re not appropriate.

° Physical contact and simulated physical contact (eg, textual descriptions like “*hug*” or “*backrub*”) without consent or after a request to stop.

° Threats of violence.

° Incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm.

° Deliberate intimidation.

° Stalking or following.

° Harassing photography or recording, including logging online activity for harassment purposes.

° Sustained disruption of discussion.

° Unwelcome sexual attention.

° Pattern of inappropriate social contact, such as requesting/assuming inappropriate levels of intimacy with others

° Continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease.

° Deliberate “outing” of any aspect of a person’s identity without their consent except as necessary to protect vulnerable people from intentional abuse.

° Publication of non-harassing private communication.

Violations of CoC
A first violation of the CoC that does not include physical or aggressive behavior or language will be addressed by the highest ranking manager available. If the transgressor listens, apologizes and commits to not repeat they will be given a second chance. Any physical or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of staff member, removal of patron and severing of relationship with vendor/supplier if the person involved is not removed from their position at said vendor/supplier.
Reporting of Violations
All violations can be reported to the manager in charge and will be handled quickly.
